| Dear parents, As you know by now we have started learning the vocabulary about the immediate family. We are also enjoying playing card games involving each member of the family. | Hoping you are enjoying this early spring weather and sharing your love with your family! After reviewing about seasons, weather,months, birthdays and days of the week we have been focusing again this week about numbers up to 69, playing BINGO !every body enjoyed the game and it has been a good practice . In the coming weeks, we are now going to study about the family with a few fun projects. In about 2 weeks,I will ask each child to bring copies of family members'pictures as we will make a family tree . The class is going well as we are learning and having fun! A bientot ! Anne Marie |
| Dear parents. Two weeks ago we talked about this French tradition of eating"La galette des rois"-the kings cake- you now might be familliar with through our fund raising that just ended this month.Each students decorated a beautiful crown and of course we ate la galette with Lucile finding the charm inside and becoming the queen! The kids loved it and it was a good pretext to learn the vocabulary words -la galette . la feve- le roi la reine. la couronne-je mange , c est bon! and more. This week and next week we are continuing learning about the months and the birthdays,the days of the week and the ranks. I always recommend to encourage your child to go over with you though his her notebook and booklet to review what is done in class. Bon courage et a la semaine prochaine ! Anne Marie |
| Dear parents of the PA, Happy new year again ! It was nice see see all of you on Wednesday after the class! I was very happy to see my little students so interested in starting their French class again. What a nice group of children! As we are starting a new year and month we are now learning about the months and the birthdays, linked with the season and the weather that we learned in December, and we will follow with the week and days. Of course this month we will celebrate -la galette-the kings cake -, eat it in class, sing the song and be kings and queens! I am looking forward to our next class ! Anne Marie |

Everybody can now ask and respond about how they are doing, what is their name and how to spell it, along with knowing the alphabet,ask and say their age as well as counting-we are practicing numbers to 69-.and we are still working on the notion of feminine and masculine nouns.
We are learning a lot through conversations, board games that they LOVE, songs and short stories.

It is a pleasure to be with your children ,some new and some coming back!
We are having a lot of fun as the same time we are learning French. Through songs and short stories, games and of course speaking we are practicing how to present ourselves, the alphabet , the colors and the numbers.Each child has a notebook where he she will keep all the work to review at home .
